Baishui River

Lijiang Baishui River is located beside yunshanping of Yulong Snow Mountain scenic spot. It is a river formed by melting glaciers and snow water of Yulong Snow Mountain. Because its water quality is not polluted, and its riverbed and platform are made up of white marble and limestone gravel, this clear mountain stream seems to be white, so it is called Baishui River. It is said that the water of Baishui River comes from the mouth of the jade dragon. It is spiritual and a holy land of love.

Leave Ganhaizi and continue to walk northward, about 5 kilometers ahead. After turning a corner, you can see that there is a river flowing from the snow mountain at the foot of the mountain, which flows eastward. This is the Baishui River. After the Baishui River Bridge, you can stop here and go down the road on the right side of the bridge to reach the Baishui River.

On the way from Lijiang to yunshanping, ordinary tourists will pass by Baishui River and visit along the way instead of going there specially. No.7 bus can get to the cableway mountain. It's 42 yuan (including insurance) by small cableway. If it's 20 yuan one way, you can also get on and off on foot.

Travel

In the setting of emerald green, there is a magnificent white crystal shining in the sun. From a distance, it looks like a stagnant waterfall hanging on the green hillside, and like a barrier of jade carving, shining in the sun. Here is Baishuitai, one of the birthplaces of Naxi culture. This is a special karst landform. Because there is a large amount of calcium carbonate in the ground water, the spring water flows down and forms a white calcium carbonate deposit where it goes, which also presents a terraced field shape. Ding bashiro, the first ancestor of Dongba religion, came back from Tibet to study scriptures. He passed by Baishuitai and was attracted by its beautiful scenery. So he stayed here to set up an altar to preach. Thus Baishuitai became the holy land of Dongba religion. There is a karst cave on the hillside opposite Baishuitai. It is said that this is Amin Ling cave where the founder of Amin studied scriptures. Naxi people call it "aminerke". It is precisely because of the special and mysterious status of Baishuitai that dadongba from all over the world have to go to Baidi to practice and seek their way. Only in this way can they be regarded as a qualified dadongba.
