Shenyang World War II allied POW camp is located at no.30-3 Ditan Street, Dadong District, Shenyang City. It was a place specially set up by Japan during World War II to detain the Allied forces captured in the Pacific War in Shenyang. It was called "Mukden captives' shelter" at that time. The former site of Shenyang World War II allied POW camp was listed as a national key cultural relic protection unit in 2013. After years of maintenance and construction, the exhibition hall of the former site of Shenyang World War II allied POW camp officially met with the audience on May 18, 2013 and opened to the public free of charge.

After more than five years of construction, the exhibition hall of the former site of Shenyang World War II allied POW camp, located in Ditan Street, Dadong District, Shenyang, will be officially opened to the public on May 18, 2013. The POW camp is a relic museum built on the site of the former Mukden prisoner's shelter set up by the Japanese invaders. It was listed as a cultural relic protection unit of Liaoning Province in 2008.
Construction scale
The exhibition hall, which will be opened soon, is composed of historical facts exhibition hall, POW barracks, Japanese army office building, site Memorial square and other parts, covering an area of more than 12000 square meters. It is currently the largest special museum reflecting the history of Japanese army's detention of Allied POWs during World War II.
