Daqin Railway, Shawei railway, Jingbao railway, 109 National Highway and Shadong highway pass through the area, so the traffic is very convenient.

Lingshan meadow

Located at an altitude of more than 1500 meters, the 10000 mu alpine meadow is the largest aerial meadow in North China, with beautiful mountains and rivers, wild flowers everywhere, and a hundred birds singing. It is known as a fairyland in the world and a paradise in the world. There are warm and cool grassland meadows in the range of 1500-1900 meters above sea level, and cold subalpine meadows above 1900 meters above sea level. The summer temperature in the area is 17-22 ℃, cool and pleasant. Dongling Mountain is rich in biodiversity. There are 107 families and 844 species of higher vascular plants, including 12 families and 33 species of pteridophytes, 4 families and 11 species of gymnosperms, 84 families and 800 species of angiosperms, more than 700 species of wild animals, including more than 40 species of mammals, more than 150 species of birds and more than 500 species of insects. The climate here is unique. In winter, the snow Valley is covered with ice. In spring, the flowers are flourishing. In summer, the green fields are green and the wild fruits are abundant in autumn. There are squirrels, foxes, rabbits, pheasants, wild goats, roe deer, wild boars and other animals active in the mountains. Yak, the boat of Qinghai Plateau, has also taken root in Lingshan mountain, which forms a unique landscape. It's especially lucky to see the rare bird brown eared pheasant here. Seasonal change of vegetation makes natural scenery change from time to time. Glaze, rime and cedar often appear in autumn and winter, and clouds, rainbow and clean air often appear in summer.

Lingshan main peak

The original name of Lingshan is "Tianyun mountain", which means "the cloud is in the mountain, and the mountain is in the sky". The sky, the cloud and the mountain are integrated into one. The cloud goes through the mountain and turns to the light and dark in the sky, which is actually a fairyland on earth. The origin of the name "Tianyun mountain" is proved by the inscriptions unearthed from the Xiangu tomb on the south side of the main peak of Lingshan mountain.

Lingshan is also known as "Fanshan". According to the records of Wanping county annals, Lingshan is covered with snow all the year round and looks like alum, so it is also named "Fanshan". And Hebei Zhuolu has an important town "Fanshan town" hence the name.

"Donglingshan" is said to have started in the Yuan Dynasty, that is, after the completion of the "Lingyan Temple" in Qijiazhuang village in the west of Beijing, there is a banner hanging in the center of the hall of the "Lingyan Temple", which reads "find Lingqi in Lingyan temple, Lingqi comes from Donglingshan". On the main peak of Lingshan mountain, sunrise and sunset can be observed in the morning and evening, stars twinkle in the evening, and meteor satellites fly by. All these are rare phenomena for the residents of the plains and big cities.

Lingshan cableway

Lingshan cableway is located in the Lingshan natural scenic area of Mentougou District, West Beijing. It was built in 1997. The total length of the cableway is 1548 meters. It is a single line circular chair type cableway with two people each. It runs for 45 minutes a week.

The cableway is the No.208 cableway in China. It is also the highest and longest cableway near Beijing. It starts from the stone steps of Lingshan scenic area comprehensive service area in the East and ends at LIULANG mountain in the West. The height difference is 430m.
