Nanxi River

Nanxi River, known as the cradle of Chinese landscape painting, is famous for its unique features of "beautiful water, strange rocks, many waterfalls, ancient villages, beautiful beaches and forests". It is the only scenic spot in China that is famous for its idyllic landscape.

Between Nanxijiang and Yandangshan, two national scenic spots, there is a special tourist road from shizhiyan to Yanhu.

Nanxi River scenic area, with a total area of 671 square kilometers, is divided into seven scenic spots, namely, dananxi, shizhiyan, Daruoyan, taipingyan, yantanxi, sihaishan and Yuanyuan, with a total of more than 800 scenic spots.

The scenic spot is distributed along the river, with a variety of national key protected precious tree species, such as Cyclobalanopsis formosana, Ginkgo biloba, Pterocarpus formosana, etc.

Geography

Nanxi River scenic area is located in Yongjia County, Zhejiang Province, 26 kilometers away from Wenzhou City in the south, adjacent to Yandang Mountain in the East, Jinyun Xiandu in the West and Xianju scenic area in the north. The scenic spot is only 23 kilometers away from Wenzhou City and 47 kilometers away from Wenzhou airport.

Nanxi River, formerly known as Ou river, is the second largest tributary of Ou river in Zhejiang Province. It originated in huanglikeng, which is the junction of Yongjia County and Xianju County. Between Kuocang mountain and Yandang Mountain, from north to south, it flows through the hinterland of Yongjia center and directly flows into Oujiang River. The total length of the main stream is 140 km (141 km, 139.8 km), the drainage area is about 2490 square km, the natural drop of the river is 1030 m, the average slope is 7.4 ‰, the average width of the upper and middle reaches is 50 m, the average width of the lower reaches is 375 m, and the average annual runoff is 2.85 billion cubic meters. The main tributaries of Nanxi River are Yantan River, Zhangxi River, Hesheng River, Xiaonan River, Huatan River, Wuchi River and Doumen river. Nanxi River Sub scenic spot is developed in Nanxi River Basin, which is famous for its idyllic landscape.

Nanxi River scenic area is rich in species, diverse communities and relatively intact ecosystem. There are more than 1000 species, accounting for 82.5% of Nanxi River species. There are 14 species of national key protected plants, including 2 species of Ginkgo biloba and Taxus mairei. There are 12 species of national key protected plants, including Fokienia hodginsii, Torreya grandis, Torreya grandis, Cinnamomum camphora, Phoebe bournei, palm tree, red bean tree, Liriodendron chinense, Magnolia officinalis, Magnolia officinalis, Magnolia officinalis, fragrant fruit tree and beech; Animal species are also abundant.

There are various forest communities in this area, including Phoebe bournei forest, Phoebe villosum forest, orchid forest, Fagaceae forest and birch forest, etc. the forest ecosystem is well preserved and is a typical zonal forest vegetation community.

In May, August, September, October and may 2009, the school of life sciences of Wenzhou Medical College (now Wenzhou Medical University), School of life and Environmental Sciences of Wenzhou University, Yongjia Shuiyun middle school, Yongjia Bilian middle school and Zhejiang Institute of marine aquaculture conducted field surveys on amphibians in Nanxi River Basin. The results showed that there were 24 species of amphibians in Nanxijiang River Basin, belonging to 2 orders, 7 families and 13 species endemic to China. Among them, Rana fukiensis and Rana Tiantai are new records in Wenzhou. There are 22 species in the Oriental realm, accounting for 91.7% of the total species.

Distribution of scenic spots

Nanxi River is divided into seven scenic spots: Nanxi River and rural cultural scenic spot along the river (referred to as Yantou central scenic spot of Nanxi River), Daruoyan scenic spot, shizhiyan scenic spot, Beikeng scenic spot, Shuiyan scenic spot, Doumen scenic spot and sihaishan scenic spot. There are more than 800 scenic spots in the seven scenic spots. The main scenic spots are: Longhe ancient ferry, Baizhang waterfall, Shimentai, Furong Sanya, tengxitan waterfall, shierfeng, Taogong cave, Yongjia academy, yaxia reservoir, shizhiyan, Cangpo village, Furong ancient village, shiziyan, taipingyan, yaxia reservoir, Lishui ancient street, etc.

There are more than 50 colorful waterfalls at the source of Nanxi River and on both sides of the middle and upper reaches of Nanxi River, with 30000 mu of Beach Forest on both sides. Nanxi River runs through the north and south of Yongjia, with a catchment area of 2429 square kilometers. The stream flows from north to South and flows into Oujiang River at the end to the East China Sea.

Yantou central scenic spot

Yantou central scenic spot (also known as Nanxi River and rural culture along the river or Danan River scenic spot) is mainly located in Yantou town of Yongjia County, including riverside beach forest, Qifeng, ancient villages, etc. in Shatou Town and Qukou township. The 39 kilometer long water area from Danan River to taipingyan is full of twists and turns, with beach and pool, beach forest, wide sand beach on both sides, and ancient villages and buildings with peculiar planning in the basin.

Sigiriya Lion Rock

Another feature of Nanxi River's rock wonder is its cliff like cutting. The tuff with vertical joint characteristics forms many canyons, valleys, cliffs and cliffs through water erosion and collapse. Shiziyan, located in dananxi scenic area, is two small islands in Qiantan of xiarichuan village, Yantou town. Like a lion and like a ball, it is called "lion ball island". It holds its head high, opens its mouth and stands against the current. The whole island is made of stone. The stone color is black and white, and the stone walls are rugged.

Daruoyan scenic spot

Located in the xiaonanxi valley of Yongjia County, the main scenic spots of Daruoyan town are: Taogong cave, the 12th cave, liuluo mountain, Jiushan Shimentai waterfall group, Yongjia academy Jinzhu waterfall, yaxiaku cliff waterfall, Baizhang waterfall, tengxi waterfall group, zhongxinkengxiagu waterfall, Daruoyan and Furong cliff.

Yongjia Academy

Yongjia academy scenic area is located in the core area of national AAAA Nanxijiang scenic area. Covering an area of 5000 mu, it is a key cultural park in Zhejiang Province, integrating mountains, water, forests, rocks, beaches and waterfalls, compatible with all the scenic features of Nanxi River.

There are more than 50 natural and cultural landscapes in the scenic area. The top ten scenic spots are Fenghuang ferry, happy forest, Luotuofeng, Jinzhu waterfall, Dongtian line, natural viewing platform, harmony between man and nature, Shuixin tower, water stage, ark Museum and other natural and cultural landscapes, which can be called the Masterpieces of nature.

Twelve peaks

Twelve peaks, located in danxijiang Daruoyan scenic area, Yongjia County, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, about 3 kilometers northwest of Taogong cave, are a group of rhyolite peaks formed by joint weathering and water erosion and crustal uplift. A group of peaks, like pillars, rise from the ground and circle on a semicircular mountain in the shape of a rice steamer. The peaks are steep, steep and majestic. The strange peaks and rocks are similar to each other, vivid and spectacular.

Baizhang waterfall

Nanxijiang river basin is located in the south side of Xinhua Xia sub uplift belt in Southeast China, with developed fault structures, especially the upstream of various tributaries, steep cliffs and deep valleys, forming colorful waterfalls. Shizhiyan scenic spot

Shizhiyan scenic spot, located in Yongjia County, Zhejiang Province, is located in a gorge 500 meters north of Ao village in Hesheng country, surrounded by streams on three sides. Its landscape has the characteristics of masculinity, strangeness, danger, beauty, seclusion and mystery. The main scenic spots are shizhiyan, xiaosanxia, shuixiandong, Qilin peak, shuixiangyan, pineapple rock, etc.

There are many tuffs and rhyolites in the upper reaches of Nanxi River and its tributaries. The vertical joints and columnar joints are well developed, forming a strange landscape of towering peaks and steep cliffs. The relative height of shizhiyan is 306 meters, which can be called "Tianzhu in southern Zhejiang" and "the crown of China". It is named for its shape like the mast of a ship. The whole body is covered with stones and is light red. The peak is like bingdilianlei, towering shoulder to shoulder. Surrounded by streams and gorges on three sides, it looks like a natural bonsai surrounded by nine peaks of different heights.

Sihai mountain scenic spot

Four seamounts, including Cangshan and Yandangshan, extend from northeast to southwest. Located in the northern mountainous area of Yongjia County, it is the largest and highest scenic spot of Nanxi River scenic spot. Most of the scenic spots are between 500 meters and 1000 meters above sea level. There are more than 10 peaks above sea level, such as sihaijian, tiangaojian and jingangjian. The highest elevation is in Shangpan Dajian, up to 1196.7 meters.
