Memorial Hall of Zheng Chenggong
Xiamen Zheng Chenggong memorial hall was built in 1962 to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the great national hero Zheng Chenggong's recovery of Taiwan.
Zheng Chenggong memorial hall is located in riguangyan scenic area. On February 1, 1962, when Zheng Chenggong regained Taiwan for 300 years, the memorial hall was cut and opened. Zheng Chenggong was a famous national hero in the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty. He recovered Taiwan which had been occupied by the Dutch invaders for 38 years. The people of Taiwan respected him as the "king of Taiwan". The memorial hall is the largest collection center and research base of Zheng Chenggong's cultural relics and documents at home and abroad. Up to now, there are still Zhaimen, shuiaotai and other sites. The museum is divided into seven parts, displaying more than 300 pieces of cultural relics, materials, photos, sculptures and models, which systematically shows Zheng Chenggong's life story. There are more than 400 historical relics about Zheng Chenggong in the collection. Through the combination of multimedia demonstration and audio, optical and electrical technology, it vividly and systematically shows Zheng Chenggong's life story and his heroic struggle for national independence, national sovereignty, territorial integrity and national dignity.

General situation
Xiamen Zhengchenggong memorial hall is located in riguangyan scenic area, Gulangyu Island, Xiamen City, Fujian Province. Riguangyan is the place where Zheng Chenggong, the national hero of the late Ming Dynasty and the early Qing Dynasty, stationed troops to build the village and drill the Navy. Up to now, there are still many ruins such as the gate of the village and the water platform. Built on February 1, 1962, the 300th anniversary of Zheng Chenggong's recovery of Taiwan, the museum site and the surrounding green space cover an area of 13000 square meters, including 2200 square meters of the main building exhibition hall, 500 square meters of the companion building exhibition hall and data research room. The plaque of the Museum was written by Mr. Guo Moruo himself.
Zheng Chenggong is a famous national hero in the early Ming and Qing Dynasties in China. He was born in 1624 in Ishii, Nan'an, Fujian Province. His real name is Sen, also known as Fusong. He is named Mingyan and Damu. Nan'an, Quanzhou, Fujian, Han nationality, military strategist in late Ming and early Qing Dynasty, famous general in anti Qing Dynasty, national hero. His father, Zheng Zhilong, and his mother, Tian Chuan. In Hongguang's time, Jiansheng was given the surname of "Zhu" by Emperor menglongwu of Ming Dynasty, and was granted the title of "Zhong Xiao Bo" and "Zheng CI Xing", "Zheng Guo Xing" and "Guo Xing Ye". In addition, he was granted the title of "Zheng Yanping" by Emperor mengyongli of Ming Dynasty.
In addition to the preface hall, there are seven exhibition rooms of Zheng Chenggong's youth, serving the country and saving the people, fighting against the Qing Dynasty, China's Treasure Island Taiwan, cross sea expeditions to drive the Netherlands and restore Taiwan, a long way to go to develop Taiwan, Dayi shining forever and national spirit inspiring posterity. More than 800 kinds of cultural relics, documents, materials, photos, charts, paintings, sculptures, models, etc. are exhibited to systematically introduce Zheng Chenggong's brilliant life.
In the display cabinet, there are jade belts, fragments of dragon robes, shoes, seals and other relics worn by Zheng Chenggong. Among the materials of poetry and painting, there are Zheng Chenggong's poems and his handwriting, Zheng Chenggong and Wang Zhongxiao's duel to Yi, the final version of the record on the sea, the real record of the former king by Yang Ying, the king's household official in Yanping, and a visit to the barnyard sea. Among them, the final version of the record on the sea (two volumes in total) is a copy found in Tongan in 1960, which is a very precious historical material. In addition, there is a double dragon copper gun, named after the gun body decorated with two dragons.

Display cabinet
In the exquisite display cabinet of the memorial hall, there are pieces of dragon robes, shoes, seals and other relics worn by Zheng Chenggong's jade belt. Among the calligraphy and painting materials, there are Zheng Chenggong's poems and handwritings which are widely spread in Fujian, Japan and Southeast Asia, as well as the picture of Zheng Chenggong playing chess with Wang Zhongxiao. Among the important historical documents of Zheng Chenggong, there are the final version of the record of what he saw and heard on the sea, the actual record of the expedition by Yang Ying, the king's household official of Yanping, and the records of Zheng Chenggong's achievements in Governing Taiwan, such as a visit to the barnyard sea and Dongshan Guoyu. Among them, the book is a rare copy. "The record of seeing and hearing on the sea" was written by Ruan (Wenyang), a native of Xiamen. Born in the seventh year of the Ming Dynasty, Ruan is a member of the Chuxian museum set up by Zheng Chenggong in Xiamen. He is familiar with Zheng's deeds. The final edition of the record of maritime information is a manuscript found in Tongan County in 1960. It contains two volumes. It is known from the preface of the author at the beginning of the volume that the book is the first draft, which is an undecided book. The author revised and supplemented it in his later years, corrected many mistakes in the first draft, and has high historical value. In the historical materials display cabinet, there are also pictures of the book neglected Taiwan.
Western materials
According to the research of Dutch scholar Gao Luther, this book was written by Premier Yi, the Dutch governor in Taiwan. At least he provided materials and inspired others to write it. A failure record of the colonists who were sentenced to life imprisonment by the Dutch authorities for "losing" Taiwan has become a kind of Western material that can not be ignored in our study of Zheng Chenggong's history.
Exhibition hall
In the solemn exhibition hall, people can see a full-length statue of Zheng Chenggong. The general, dressed in a war robe, with his sword in his hand, marched forward with his head held high. On both sides of the statue are models of the bronze cannons, iron cannons and warships he used in those years. Standing in the hall, the statue of Zheng Chenggong makes us feel as if he is standing in the commanding post of the ship, commanding the ships to ride the wind and waves and March eastward. It also makes us feel as if the Chinese people are marching forward bravely under gunfire in order to recover the sacred territory of the motherland
Zhangzhou military pay
"Zhangzhou military pay" is also one of the precious cultural relics that attract a large number of audiences. This is a silver coin made by Zheng Chenggong. The monogram on the silver coin looks like a peculiar pattern. According to Guo Moruo's textual research, it is a combination of "Zhu Chenggong". This important discovery made Zheng Chenggong's history of silver coins known to all, and pushed forward the history of silver coins in China for nearly 200 years.
heroic exploits
The light shines through the ages. There is an exhibition room in the memorial hall, which specially displays poems, inscriptions and inscriptions written by Party and state leaders and famous scholars, such as Dong Biwu, Guo Moruo, Shen Junru, Huang Yanpei, Chen Shutong, Xie Jueya, Hu Juewen, Qi Yanming and Li Chunqing. In November 1978, a delegation from the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress visited the memorial hall in Beijing, leaving an inscription: "carry forward the national heroic spirit of defending the motherland and loving the people.".
