Central printing house in Yan'an Period

Yan'an news memorial is located at the south foot of Qingliang mountain in Yan'an City. It is jointly funded by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee, the State Administration of radio, film and television, Xinhua news agency, people's daily, and the General Administration of press and publication. It is the only news Memorial in China. The Yan'an news memorial was built in the 1980s, next to the former site of Xinhua News Agency on Qingliang mountain. The total construction area of the exhibition hall is 3000 square meters, including 1580 square meters of exhibition area. The shape of the museum is like a cave, implying that the party's journalism was founded and developed from the earth cave in Yan'an. The exhibition is divided into five units, which are displayed in four exhibition halls. More than 180 pieces of cultural relics and more than 400 precious historical photos, documents and charts were exhibited. The exhibition uses a large number of display methods, such as scene restoration and image synthesis, together with modern high-tech display means, such as sound, light and electricity, to vividly reproduce the development process and achievements of new China's press and publishing industry in Yan'an period, and become a vivid classroom for patriotism, revolutionary tradition and Yan'an spirit education. During the period of the CPC Central Committee in Yan'an, Qingliangshan in Yan'an used to be the seat of many press and publishing units, such as the party newspaper Committee of the CPC Central Committee, Xinhua news agency, Jiefang Daily, Yan'an Xinhua radio station, central printing house, etc. At that time, under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee, the older generation of press and publishing workers actively spread Marxism Leninism, publicized the party's line, principles and policies, the central command of the fight, the victory of the Anti Japanese front line and other good news passed to all sides of the motherland and the other side of the ocean through the red radio waves and newspapers of Qingliangshan. In the 1930s and 1940s, when the CPC Central Committee was in Yan'an, Qingliangshan used to be the seat of many news and publishing units, such as the central party newspaper Committee, Xinhua news agency, Jiefang Daily, Yan'an Xinhua radio station, central printing house, Xinhua Bookstore, etc. At that time, under the leadership of the Party Central Committee, the party's news organizations spread Marxism Leninism and Mao Zedong thought, publicized the party's line, principles and policies, communicated with the people, reflected the voice of the people, and made indelible contributions to the victory of the Chinese revolution.
