Located on the Bank of Qinhuai River of Nanjing Confucius Temple, Oriental Art Institute is a building of Ming and Qing Dynasties with small brick and horsehead wall. The elegant courtyard, the secluded corridor and the carved doors and windows show the elegant atmosphere of Jinling ancient city culture in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. Architectural features: Oriental Art Academy, also known as "Qifeng test hall", was built by Zhu Qifeng, an Anhui native in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. It is a well preserved building of Ming and Qing Dynasties. Folk art exhibition: exhibits include kites, sachets, door paintings, batik, knots, paper cutting, facial makeup, root carving, pyrography, rare stones, as well as Jiangnan style of traditional Chinese painting, calligraphy, Yuhua stone, woodcut and other fine arts. Shadow play: shadow play is an ancient folk art in China, which has a history of more than 1600 years. At present, only Shaanxi, Heilongjiang, Henan and Nanjing have professional troupes. The troupe has sorted out more than ten shadow play plays, which can be performed for guests at any time or at the request of guests. Flavor snacks: there is a restaurant for 50 guests in the art academy, where you can enjoy Qinhuai flavor snacks.
