Especially after grass planting and livestock raising, the ranchers vigorously developed herbivorous livestock such as cattle and sheep, successively introduced Chinese Merino fine wool sheep, Romney semi fine wool sheep, Boer goat and Nanjiang Yellow sheep from the cattle and sheep breeding base of Shandong Animal Husbandry Bureau, and then introduced Simmental frozen semen to improve local yellow cattle, with obvious effect. At present, 2550 cattle and horses, more than 3600 sheep and 2780 pigs are raised in the pasture, and more than 3500 livestock are sold every year. The output value of animal husbandry accounts for more than 65% of the total agricultural output value.

Name legend
There are many ancient names of Qiyue mountain. It is said that in the Ming Dynasty, Taoist herbalists collected herbs to refine the elixir of immortality, and collected all the famous mountains in the world. They didn't need all the main herbs. Later, he came to Qiyue mountain by accident and found that the main herbs he needed were almost all over the mountains. Therefore, in ancient times, people commonly called this mountain Qiyue mountain. The top of Qiyue mountain is basically level, with seven mountain parcels, including heidabao, kanjin Dabao, luojiadabao, dengjiadabao, wanjiadabao, Dabao and pengjiadabao, spread out like seven stars, so the ancients called it Qiyao mountain.
