The main building of Taizhou Museum has four floors, with a total construction area of 12500 square meters and a total exhibition area of 6000 square meters.
The first floor is the temporary exhibition hall, the second floor is the historical Hall of "mountain soul and sea soul", the third floor is the folk Hall of "earth feelings", and the fourth floor is the exhibition hall of folk collection. History Hall of mountain soul and sea soul
"Mountain soul and sea soul" historical hall is divided into four chapters: Lingjiang riverside, zhangan ancient harbor, Tiantai state and Chicheng Chaoyong. It is mainly composed of Lingjiang human fossils 100000 years ago, Neolithic stone tools, bronzes, pottery and other collections unearthed in Taizhou. It tells the nine thousand year history and culture stories of Taizhou by combining scene reproduction and multimedia means.
Earth feelings folk Hall
"Earth feelings" folk hall adopts the cultural geography theory of Wang Shixing (Linhai people), a human geographer of the Ming Dynasty, to interpret the living conditions and customs of the people in the mountainous, plain and coastal areas of Taizhou from the three aspects of ecology, livelihood and life. Water drop of Golden Toad porcelain in Longquan of Southern Song Dynasty
The water drop of Longquan Golden Toad porcelain in Southern Song Dynasty is 11 cm long and 6.5 cm high. The water drops of Golden Toad porcelain are stationery. The shape of the toad is three-dimensional. The body of the toad is oblate, with its head raised, eyes round and bright.
