Luwei town is located in the south central part of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, 67.5km away from Nanning city. It is located in Binyang County. It is one of the four ancient towns in Guangxi and the political, economic, cultural and educational center of Binyang County. The town covers an area of 188.04 square kilometers, including 73446 mu of paddy field and 31393 mu of dustpan. There are 42054 households with a total population of 19024500, including 83000 in urban areas and 107250 in rural areas. The town has 28 village committees, 16 communities, 212 natural villages and 36 organs directly under the town. There are 95 town cadres and workers, 30 village officials and 220 village and street cadres. There are 8 middle schools, 93 primary schools and 1316 office teachers in the town.
