Tower temple

With a history of more than 1000 years, Tagong temple is one of the famous temples of Sakya sect of Tibetan Buddhism. It is known as "xiaodazhao Temple" and one of the holy places for Tibetans to worship in Kangba area. "Tagong" in Tibetan means "the place that Bodhisattvas like". The highlight of Tagong is that there is a 12-year-old Buddha statue of Sakyamuni in the temple, which is the same as the Jokhang Temple in Lhasa.

The scale of Tagong temple is not large. The main hall in the middle is the place for chanting sutras and worshiping Buddhas of Sakya sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Temple host

Yundengjiangcuo Rinpoche is the abbot of LINGJI temple in Tagong, which is famous for its snowy area in Tibet. He is also the reincarnation of the well-known founder of the kargyu sect and the great yogi Milarepa. Yundengjiangcuo Rinpoche is 90 years old this year. In order to show the Dharma of practice to all living beings, Rinpoche set an example and practiced in LINGJI Temple of Tagong for 34 years before and after, including 27 years of uninterrupted closure, which reproduces the spirit of hard work of the patriarch of Milarepa. Renbo has a high amount of evidence, and is full of supernatural powers. He often shows no hindrance to change in the aspects of blessing sentient beings, relieving suffering, increasing happiness and opening wisdom, and subduing demons and demons.

Main attractions

Tagong temple is composed of Daxiong hall, Relic Hall, Sakyamuni hall, Dharma hall, Guanyin hall, chengchengta hall, Lianhua hall, talin, monk's house and "zhuanjing wheel" around the temple.

Daxiong hall is the main place for monks to chant sutras and practice Dharma. There are many murals around the hall, which are precious Buddhist relics.

The Sakyamuni Buddha statue made by Princess Wencheng in those years is worshipped in the Sakyamuni hall. There are also footprints left on the stone by the master of the Yuan Dynasty, King basifa, who went to the Tagong temple to use his magic power. There is also a one meter high holy statue of Avalokitesvara. This holy statue of Avalokitesvara was made by Princess Wencheng in those years for the benefit of all living beings. The raw materials used for shaping the statue are the sacred mountains, waters and a large number of jewelry in the Han Tibetan region at that time The holy image is said to have extraordinary supernatural power. Guanyin hall, built in 1997, houses the highest gilded bronze statue of Guanyin in Tibet.

It is said that the achievement tower was built by the great achiever, hoqin Garan, with magic power. It is dedicated to the walking stick and sacred objects of the Indian eminent monk "hoqin Garan".

The lotus hall is dedicated to master lianhuasheng, master Lianshi No. 8 and Manjusri.

There are also many treasures in the temple, such as the teeth of "sangjiquba" (ancient Buddha of Kaya), the faling bell used by the Great Indian achiever "naroba" in the 12th century, and the gilded bronze Buddha presented by the king of the National Normal University of the Yuan Dynasty, basiba. There are many minibuses from Kangding to Tagong every day, which is very convenient, so it's better to take the departure bus from Kangding, and the fare is about 10 yuan per person.
