Wanjiazhai

Wanjiazhai Water Control Project of the Yellow River (hereinafter referred to as "Wanjiazhai project") is located in the gorge of Tuoketuo Longkou reach of the north main stream of the Yellow River. It is the first of the eight cascade projects planned and developed in the middle reaches of the Yellow River. It is also the starting point of the project of diverting water from the Yellow River to Shanxi Province. The left bank is subordinate to Pianguan County of Shanxi Province, and the right bank is subordinate to Zhungeer banner of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Wanjiazhai is the largest water conservancy project in Shanxi Province. The reservoir area stretches for tens of miles between the Jinmeng gorge. The high gorge goes out of the Pinghu Lake, the Yellow River becomes clear, and the largest and highest pedestrian suspension bridge in Asia are the wonders of Wanjiazhai.
