Beijing Shichahai sports school is a secondary vocational school supervised by Beijing Municipal Bureau of sports. It is located on the West Bank of Shichahai in the center of Beijing. It is a "national key secondary vocational school" and a "national high-level sports reserve talent base"

The school was founded in 1958, formerly known as "Beijing Shichahai youth amateur sports school"; in 1970, it was rebuilt as "Beijing Amateur Sports School"; in 1984, the name of "Beijing Amateur Sports School" was changed to "Beijing Sports School"; in 1985, "Beijing Sports School" and "Beijing Shichahai amateur sports school" were listed at the same time; in 1986, it was officially named "Beijing Sports School" Shichahai Sports School

School running period

In April 1958, Beijing Municipal Sports Commission established "Beijing Shichahai youth amateur sports school", which is subordinate to "Beijing Shichahai Stadium".

In June 1966, after the beginning of the "Cultural Revolution", the leaders of the Municipal Sports Committee were paralyzed and allowed to train and compete.

On May 12, 1968, the military control group entered the sports school, implemented military control, stopped enrollment and training, and all coaches went to factories, mines, troops and grass-roots units for guidance, performing and friendly competitions for workers, peasants and soldiers.

Amateur sports school period

In October 1970, the Municipal Sports Commission transformed "Beijing Shichahai Stadium" into "Beijing Amateur Sports School".

In 1971, a table tennis hall was built.

In November 1974, the Beijing Municipal Sports Commission decided to set up the Beijing wushu team on the basis of the youth Wushu class of Beijing Shichahai sports school, which was managed by the city sports school and became the first professional team established by the school. In the same year, the school filled the swimming pool and built basketball and volleyball courts.

In 1975, key classes were established, and students in key classes could live in schools after training.

In 1981, a physical education class was set up, in which half day study and half day training were carried out.

On May 24, 1984, the Municipal Sports Commission changed the name of "Beijing Amateur Sports School" to "Beijing Sports School". In the same year, a sports class was set up, and the training program of three concentration system was expanded, and the number of students in three concentration system was increased.

In January 1985, the school, as the first pilot unit of the reform of the Municipal Sports Commission, carried out the reform attempt, implemented the principal responsibility system, the appointment system at all levels and the post responsibility system, formulated the management rules, implemented the boiler room fund contract system, and set up the labor service company of the municipal sports school.

In October 1985, the school's first office, teaching, training, living (medical, canteen) as one of the building was completed. In the same year, with the approval of the Municipal Sports Commission Office, "Beijing Sports School" and "Beijing Shichahai amateur sports school" were listed at the same time. "Beijing Sports School" is a secondary professional sports school recognized by the Municipal Sports Commission, which is not included in the series of the Municipal Bureau of higher education, but still undertakes three-level training tasks

Sports school period

On May 15, 1986, Beijing Municipal Sports Commission established "Beijing Shichahai Sports School". In the summer vacation of the same year, it began to be included in the enrollment plan of secondary professional schools in Beijing. Students are recruited from ordinary middle schools in the city and amateur sports schools in various districts and counties. A small number of middle school students with special talents can also be recruited from other cities. The length of schooling is four years. In the first four years after the establishment of the secondary vocational school, the students' cultural courses were entrusted to Beijing No.40 middle school (primary school students studying in Beihai primary school).

In April 1989, the culture and Education Office of Beijing municipal government named the Junior Middle School Department of Shichahai Sports School "Beijing No.100 middle school". In July of the same year, Shichahai sports school established the culture and education department, and held the opening ceremony on September 1.

In November 1989, the school changed the division of sports classes based on event groups to sports classes based on sports events, and gradually assumed the management of several Beijing professional teams.

Beijing Shichahai Sports School shoulders the task of training high-level sports professionals and reserve talents for Beijing and the country. The school, formerly known as "Beijing Shichahai youth amateur sports school", was officially named "Beijing Shichahai Sports School" in 1986.
