Yuzi paradise is located in Dabu Township, Yanshan District, Guilin, which is picturesque in southern China. Founded in 1998 by Taiwan entrepreneur Mr. Cao Rizhang, Yuzi paradise boasts 8000 mu of landscape. It integrates artistic creation, exhibition, exchange, conference, training and leisure. Park Construction

It is estimated that the overall construction of Yuzi park will last as long as 30 years. The development and construction project is divided into two stages: the first stage is planned and constructed according to the existing terrain and ground conditions, with the International Sculpture Park as the core, including creative living area, art village, Art Salon, teaching exhibition area, open-air theater, spiritual potential development center, etc. The first phase of the project started construction in 1999. The creative living area of the first phase of the project is expected to be completed and open to the public in early 2003. The creative living area covers an area of more than 700 mu. The construction projects include smile square, yuzile International Art Center, memorial hall, restaurant, yuzile holiday center, creative center, administrative building, sunlight Lake scenic area, frustration forest, jialishui project, landscape labyrinth, Baihui lake, huawaste garden, etc. It will take about ten years to complete the first stage of the project. The second stage is the most characteristic cave art development plan of Guilin Yuzi paradise. Guilin is famous for its beautiful mountains and rivers, grotesque caves and beautiful rocks. Guilin Yuzi paradise hopes to endow Guilin with artistic creation rich in humanistic spirit on the basis of its unique geographical resources, so that Guilin has an immortal cultural and historical asset comparable to Dunhuang Grottoes. The historical cave, about 1.5km long, is built on the mountain. It will take the culture and civilization of contemporary human society as the main theme. It will be presented with permanent wall decoration, relief and well-designed cave projects. For the part of art caves, it is planned to invite artists with prominent styles to create projects of cave classification. The characteristic of the cave art museum is to replace the traditional man-made building structure with caves, which is hidden in the typical mountains of Guilin with its unique peaks and beautiful rocks. However, it has the most modern function of Art Museum collection and display. The development plan of this stage hopes to spread the diversified features and general trend of contemporary art development to the future generations through the immortal structural characteristics of the caves, leaving the unique artistic features of contemporary society. It will take about 20 years to complete this great and arduous project. Therefore, the park construction of Guilin Yuzi park is different from that of general enterprise investment or any development of tourist attractions in terms of process and results. As far as the overall construction of the park itself is concerned, it is actually a super large-scale artistic creation. Therefore, no matter in the preliminary planning or construction, all personnel make artistic works with a prudent attitude of pursuing truth, perfection and beauty, so as to present the best results and share them with the world. During the construction of the park at different stages, Guilin Yuzi Park plans, holds and promotes various art activities accordingly. At present, the International Sculpture Creation Camp, project creation, international sculpture award, and cultural and art exchange and promotion activities organized by itself or jointly with relevant institutions have been held and in progress.

Art development

Since 1997, eight international sculpture creation camps have been held in Guilin Yuzi paradise. A total of 114 sculptors from 25 countries have been invited to create 115 outdoor sculptures with different styles. In the creative part of the project, Zhu Ming, an internationally renowned Taiwan sculptor, Xiao Changzheng, artistic director of Guilin Yuzi paradise, Xiao Li, an artist from Beijing, Li Xiuqin, an artist from Hangzhou, Robert pirrestiger, a French artist, and Eberhard ECKERLE, a German artist, have created a series of wonderful works for Guilin Yuzi paradise. There are more than 200 pieces of these two parts, most of them are displayed in the outdoor International Sculpture Park of the first phase project area, and most of them are displayed in the art creation living area of the first phase project area. In October 2002, Guilin Yuzi paradise launched the first Guilin Yuzi Paradise International Sculpture awards. The first competition was hosted by Guilin Yuzi paradise, and co sponsored by collection magazine and Sculpture Magazine.
