Harmony village, located in the middle of Jiangshan City, 13 kilometers southwest of the city, is subordinate to Qinghu town. Qinghu was established as a township in the Tang Dynasty and the 15th capital in the Song Dynasty. It is the last wharf for sailing ships to enter Fujian in the upper reaches of Qiantang River, and it is the terminal of ships from Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal. In the old days, there were many sailboats in Qinghu Town, "thousands of merchants gathered, and department stores were everywhere"; on the ancient Xianxia Road, "there was an endless stream of people coming and going," and "literati and bureaucrats were on their way.".

In the 1970s, 11 ancient pottery sites were found within a few kilometers around the village. The specimens collected include impression pottery, black pottery, sand pottery, primitive porcelain, etc. Among them, zhuohai pottery is a very special kind of ware. The chemical composition and sintering temperature of zhuohai pottery tested by Shanghai Institute of silicate, Chinese Academy of sciences are consistent with those of original porcelain, which proves that the original porcelain was developed from zhuohai pottery 4000 years ago. It also proves that in the Neolithic age, human beings had already multiplied on this land and made contributions to the evolution from pottery to porcelain.

In the Neolithic age, human beings have been living and reproducing in this land, cutting through the thorns and cutting through the thorns, one after another, after more than 4000 years. Earthenware production, which rose again in Qing Dynasty, is a harmonious traditional industry. In its heyday, it built more than 100 earthen kilns, and its products include pot, soup pot, clay pot, shell cage, line tile, fire jar, etc. with an annual output of 450000 pieces, it has been exported to Fujian, Jiangxi, Anhui, Guangdong, Hunan, Shanghai and other places through Xianxia ancient Road and ancient waterway, and is well-known. With the popularity of modern living utensils, the sales of pottery dishes are gradually shrinking, and the harmony earth kiln has lost its former glory. Until 2006, with the introduction of the production technology of antique painted pottery, the traditional ancient pottery village radiated new vitality. In 2008, 15 million yuan was invested in the construction of painted pottery cultural village. On July 3, Zhao Hongzhu, Secretary of Zhejiang provincial Party committee, visited the painted pottery cultural village on the spot. He believed that this work not only inherited the pottery culture, but also found the joint point of the promotion of the painted pottery industry, making culture the soft power of rural development, which is a bold and meaningful practice and exploration in the construction of new countryside.
