Xixia Laojun cave

Xixia laojundong Yerengu ecological health tourism area is located in ERLANGPING township of Xixia in Funiu Mountain World Geopark, Henan Province. The scenic spot is located in the center of the top ten scenic spots in Xixia, with 311 national highway and 51 provincial highway in Henan passing through the scenic spot, with superior location and convenient transportation.

Laojun cave? Yerengu scenic spot is a comprehensive scenic spot integrating Taoist culture, karst cave group and Yerengu primeval forest exploration. According to historical records and expert research, Laojun cave group in the scenic area is identified as Laozi's seclusion place, health preservation place and Scripture transmission place. In the cave, there are natural landscapes such as "Laojun preaching", "dinosaurs entering the mountain", "Guanyin listening to the piano" and so on. The underground river inside the cave is clear and flows all the year round, and the environment outside the cave is beautiful.

The Yerengu forest exploration area, located in the upper part of Laojun cave, is an ideal place for people to explore, camp (tent), relax and summer, and expand training. The valley is rich in natural resources, with a forest coverage rate of 98% and an average temperature of 19-20 ℃ in summer. It has the reputation of "late autumn in summer" and "natural air conditioning". It is the only scenic spot in Henan province that does not need to wear a sun hat. In Yerengu, there are more than 20 waterfalls, which are connected by pools and waterfalls. The highest drop is more than 120 meters. The waterfalls are pouring down, roaring and magnificent. There are more than 1600 meters long Xuantian plank road winding and inlaid on the cliff, which is known as "the first plank road in central China". Main attractions

Shanshui square

Shanshui square is 300 meters long from north to South and 100 meters wide from east to west, covering a total area of 17160 square meters. Standing at the entrance of the square, we can see a huge stone statue of Laozi. This statue is 13.8 meters high and 9.8 meters long. It is composed of 11 huge stone sculptures, with a total weight of 78 tons. It took 40 craftsmen eight months to complete the production. It is the largest and heaviest statue of Laozi riding cattle in China.

Laozi is the founder of Taoism. He was born on February 15, 571 BC. He wrote Tao Te Ching, which has influenced Chinese culture for thousands of years. Later, he was regarded as the ancestor of Taoism. Through this small bridge, the steps in front of the bridge are nine steps up and down, about 18 meters. There are two dark nines in them, which means "nine nines return to one", and it is also the embodiment of Taoism's belief in the unity of heaven and man.

Climbing the steps, the ground in the center of the square is a huge Tai Chi diagram surrounded by eight trigrams. There are four auspicious animal patterns around the eight diagrams of Taiji. They are the four Dharma protectors in Taoism. They are Oriental Green Dragon, western white tiger, northern Xuanwu and southern rosefinch.

There are three steps on the left and right, each of which is three steps, three three and nine. The middle path is five meters wide, which means "nine five high". After the "Ninth Five Year Plan", we have come to the statue of Laozi. You can take a picture with this great man, and you can also freely visit the inscription of Tao Te Ching and the relief of Laozi's story on the square.

The waterfall and pool of Yerengu are the most charming. More than 20 curtain waterfalls are light and elegant, or wild and heroic; light as "a curtain of dreams", as urgent as the roaring of a tiger and the singing of a dragon. Most of the pools are stone pools. After hundreds of millions of years of impact and polishing by waterfalls, some are like round water tanks, but the depth is not low; some are like huge jade plates, clear and transparent, so ethereal that they can distinguish the texture and vein of the rock mass. The waterfall becomes a pool. If the pool is full, it will flow. The flow will become a waterfall. The waterfall is connected with the pool.

Here, with lushing green cliff and bird chirping deep stream, it is a grand canyon capital and a natural and pure original gallery. Laozi, who was praised as a hermit by Sima Qian, once lived in Laojun Cave (another scenic spot in the scenic spot) for 100 years. Taiqing Valley

Taiqing Valley, with a total length of 3 kilometers, is the place with the highest forest coverage in Laojun Cave Scenic Area. Although its coverage rate has not yet reached 100%, there are only three places where there are no trees and plants, that is, the sightseeing trail you will walk, the Xitan waterfall you will enjoy, and, of course, a few bare rocks that are almost negligible

However, we know that the most direct function of forest is to purify the air for the deteriorating earth environment. Because the dust, soot, charcoal, lead, mercury and other pathogenic substances in the air can be absorbed by the fluff, wrinkles, oil and mucus on the leaves of plants. Of course, Taiqing Valley is located in the transition zone from warm temperate zone to north subtropical zone, which belongs to continental monsoon climate zone. Moreover, Laojieling, the main peak of Funiu Mountain in the north, blocks the cold air from the northwest to the south.
