It was the former residence of xingzhang, Changlin, Fengchi Academy in the Qing Dynasty. The printed book extract was named "Ermei bookstore", so it became the synonym of this house. Ermei Bookstore covers an area of more than 2000 square meters, with five entrances and the back door leading to ta lane. The doors and windows are decorated with double-layer engraving, and the wall panels and the upper blocking plates of the door leaves are painted with drama stories, flowers, birds, trees and other patterns. The entrance and the entrance are separated by high walls, with the rockery and snow cave as the passage. It is a typical representative of folk houses in Fuzhou during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
Er Mei Bookstore

The pattern of Library
Facing north from south, East, middle and West are adjacent to each other. It is a single-layer civil structure house. There are two gates at the head of the gate. The first is to open the gate six times towards the street. There is a gold plaque of "Jinshi" hanging on the front of the original gate. There is a entrance, a small hall in the middle and two ear rooms on both sides. Entering the stone frame gate, there are three ring corridors, two corridors in the East and West, 2 meters wide, where the guard of honor and Deacon Board are placed. Gallery patio, in the corridor, on both sides of the flower. Three steps from the patio into a hall, three wide, deep seven columns, through the bucket type wooden frame, double slope top. The main room is divided into a front and back hall by a screen door with colored gold. The hall is high and open. The rooms on both sides have four doors. The second entrance building is roughly the same as the first entrance building, but the difference is that the hall, the vestibule and the courtyard are slightly smaller, and there are pavilions on both sides of the patio. Outside the east wall is the "Er Mei study", a library and a study. In front of the house are two plum blossoms, which form a small courtyard. In the courtyard, there are three rows of cabins from south to North and five rows of cabins from west to east; on the east side of Er Mei bookstore, there is a grey plastic snow cave (seven star cave) connecting one or three entrances. Windows are double-layer leaky flowers, winter folder window paper, Xia Meng window screen. There are two ancient pavilions in the garden in front of the hall, a litchi tree more than 100 years old and a palm tree. The rockery behind the tree is separated from the Tower Lane by a wall. The east side gate connects the front and back buildings of the Tower Lane in the east side. Both of them are courtyards with seven columns and three rows of halls. Each entrance is separated by a wall, and the corridor is covered with turtle pavilion to keep out the rain. It is a well preserved five entrance compound in Fuzhou.
