History of scenic spots
In 1702, Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty named this mountain "qingchufeng", which looks like a chime hammer. The chime hammer peak is isolated from the gentle mountains, just like a towering pillar. The natural shape of the top is slightly thick, and the bottom is slightly thin. It is easy to open people's imagination, saying that it can be compared with Namibia's "thumb of God".
What's quite amazing is that there is a mulberry tree about 3 meters high at the waist of qingchufeng. It is estimated that this mulberry tree and qingchufeng have loved each other for 300 years, and it is said to be the earliest mulberry tree in China. There is a platform under the peak and a Qing Dynasty Tantric statue on the East Cliff. The actual measurement shows that the height from the platform base to the peak is 59.42 meters, the height of the hammer is 38.29 meters, the volume is 6508.68 cubic meters, and the weight is 16200 tons. Qianchufeng is far away from the pavilion of "chufeng luozhao" in the summer resort.
Legend of scenic spot
Legend one
Dragon Girl and fishermen vow to love each other to death
According to legend, a long time ago, Chengde was a vast sea, and people made a living by fishing. Among the fishermen, there was a hardworking, kind and brave young man whose parents died and lived alone. One day he went out fishing and caught a red golden carp. Everyone said that if they sold it, they would sell it for a big price and get a daughter-in-law back. But the young man looked left and right. He always thought the fish was very good-looking. It was a pity to sell it. He couldn't bear to hurt it, so he put it back into the sea.
One day, the young man went out fishing and encountered strong winds and waves. After a day's fighting, the fish was not caught. Instead, he was exhausted. He finally came home and thought it would be nice to have someone to help him cook a meal. Thinking about this, he opened the door. He smelled the smell of the food and opened the pot. Sure enough, there was hot and delicious food in the pot. Because he was tired and hungry, he couldn't think much and ate enough. Every day after that. He felt strange and wanted to see what happened. On this day, he went home ahead of time, quietly stood in front of the window, peeped into the room, and saw a girl busy cooking. The young man quietly pushed the door into the room. The girl couldn't escape, so she told him the truth. She is the carp that was put back to the sea, the little daughter of the Dragon King. As a result, they became relatives and lived a loving life.
A year later, the Dragon King knew about this. How could he allow his daughter to marry a common man? He assigned his shrimp soldiers and crab generals to capture the young man. The Dragon girl decided to escape the disaster with the young man. The two of them are riding the same boat through the waves. They are chasing each other. Walking, suddenly see the waves rolling, dragon girl suddenly thought that the rolling waves below is a huge sea eye. It's because of this eye that the sea doesn't dry up. Why don't I go back to the Dragon Palace and steal the Dinghai needle and block up the Haiyan. So she went down to the bottom of the sea with the young man and let the young man hide in the coral forest. She stole into the treasure house of the Dragon Palace and stole out the Dragon Palace treasure - dinghaishen needle. She took the young man and swam out of the sea. She aimed at the eye of the sea and threw out the needle. She saw a flash of gold, right in the eye of the sea. Immediately the sea water fell in a crash, and the generals fled. After a while, the sea dried up, and the reef forest on the bottom of the sea turned into mountains. Like a giant pillar of the sky, the sea god needle stood on the top of the mountains and turned into a Bangchui mountain standing in accordance with the sky and towering into the clouds.
Dragon Girl and young man live a happy life at the foot of Bangchui mountain.
After only two years of happy and stable life, the Jade Emperor sent five generals, namely, gold, wood, water, fire and earth, to capture the Dragon Girl. It turns out that after the sea dried up, the Dragon King went to heaven to tell the jade emperor about the Dragon Girl, and the Jade Emperor sent his generals to catch her. When the Dragon girl is caught, the generals take the Dragon Girl and want to go back to the heavenly palace. When she arrived at Bangchui mountain, she hugged Bangchui mountain to death. No matter how Beitian mage and other heaven would drag her, she would not let go. Beitian king could not reply to the Jade Emperor. The Jade Emperor said, "then deal with it on the spot. "Master Beitian used his cruel and merciless magic to turn the Dragon girl into a mulberry tree and grow on the mountainside of Bangchui peak, so that she could not return to heaven or earth. The young man and their son stand at the foot of Bangchui mountain every day, and they can't call back the Dragon Girl, only the white mulberry falling on them. It is said that it was the Dragon Girl's tears. Later, people called this mulberry tree "Dragon Girl tree".
Legend 2
There is a Bangchui mountain near Chengde city
. From a distance, it looks like the hammers of folk women beating clothes in our province; from a closer look, it is a tall and straight mountain. There is a small hill not far from Bangchui mountain. Because it is shaped like a frog crouching on the ground, it is called "toad stone".
There is a folk saying "Bangchui mountain falls, toad stone runs" among the local people. What's the matter? It is said that in ancient times, the land was often flooded, crops and houses were flooded. People have no choice but to climb the mountains and trees and eat wild fruits and vegetables to satisfy their hunger. Later, a flood control Dayu came out. He led the people to dredge the river and lead the flood to the sea. Only after the flood was stopped, could the common people plant grain and live a safe life.
In that year, Dayu led people to Chengde. He found a toad making waves in the mountain. During the day, Dayu and others worked hard to drain the water. At night, the toad's stomach swelled and sucked the water back. Dayu was determined to punish the toad. One night, Dayu found that the toad essence was doing mischief again, so he picked up a big hammer for pounding clothes, and beat the toad essence to the ground, turning it into a big stone. Fearing that it would run out again and harm the people, Dayu threw the gavel and set it beside the toad stone, turning it into a mountain peak. Toad fine move, give a mallet. In this way, toad spirit no longer dare to make trouble, had to lie there obediently, until today.
Tour route
Bangchui mountain and toad stone have become tourist attractions. There is an aerial cable car at the foot of the mountain to reach the bottom of Bangchui peak. When you get to the bottom of the peak, you can climb along the hillside to reach the front of the mountain. Anyone who comes for sightseeing should touch Bangchui mountain by hand. Some also put a small stick in the gap, it is said that this can be as strong as Bangchui peak forever, but also to protect a lifetime of low back pain!
Cause of formation
There is a scientific basis for the formation of Bangchui mountain. According to the research of geologists, about 150 million years ago, qingchufeng was only the mud, sand and gravel in the Chengde River Lake Basin, which later formed rocks and gradually rose to land with the change of the crust. But as far as the chime hammer peak is concerned, its history is only 3 million years. It is a stone wall like mountain. After collision, wind, rain and other natural forces, the stone wall collapses one by one, and finally forms the magic chime peak we see today! The rocks here are similar to the calcareous glutenite of Danxia Mountain in Shaoguan, Guangdong, and the xinhammer peak is a bit similar to the Yuanyang stone of Danxia Mountain in Shaoguan. See the explanation of Danxia landform.
