Chang'an park is located in the center of Shijiazhuang. The park was built in May 1955 and officially opened on August 1, 1958. It was named "Jiefang Park" because it was located near Jiefang Road at that time. When the city was divided into districts in 1960, it was renamed "Chang'an Park" because of its location in Chang'an District. In 1968, Chang'an District was renamed "Dongfanghong district", and the park was also renamed "Dongfanghong Park". In 1980, the name of "Dongfanghong district" was restored, and the park has been restored to "Chang'an Park".

It is a large comprehensive park in the provincial capital and an important tourist attraction in Shijiazhuang.

Chang'an park is a public institution owned by the whole people under the jurisdiction of Shijiazhuang Landscaping Administration. Located at 205 Zhongshan East Road, there are three entrances and exits in the East, West and south. Shijiazhuang Chang'an park is located in the center of the city, with dense population and convenient transportation. The park covers an area of 363.5 mu, including 90 mu of water surface. There are more than 120 rowing boats, pedal boats and modeling boats, more than 200 kinds of flowers and trees, and more than 78000 varieties.
