BAIMAQUAN
Baima spring is located in the dense forest of shixiazi in Shangli Township, Ya'an City. There is a pool at the spring. The huge stone at the bottom of the pool is engraved with dragon and horse relief. When the tide stops, the pool is as level as a mirror. When the tide comes, the calm water surface ripples layer upon layer. In an instant, the springs at the dragon's mouth and gills of the stone sculptures gush out. In the cave, it looks like throwing beads and splashing jade, whistling. When the spring water jumps down one by one, and the Dragon engraved on the boulder shows its waist, the sound of the horse's hoof comes from the pool. The sound of horse's hooves is clear and broad from far to near, from slow to fast. The ancients once described this scene as "white horse dragon spring chaoshengjing", "white horse neifang grass in Lingquan".
brief introduction
Baima spring (Baima spring in Ya'an City), one of the eight famous scenic spots in Ya'an City, is a "Rain City". When the spring water is surging, it is like a horse galloping and the sound of horse's hooves. It is said that in ancient times, there was a white dragon in the spring, and later the Dragon turned into a horse. Because of his infatuation with the spring, he often came to the spring to drink water when the moon was still in the sky. Over time, when the spring was surging, it was like a horse galloping and the sound of horse's hooves was heard all the time, so this spring was called "white horse spring".
The origin of history
Baima spring was built in 627, the first year of Zhenguan of Tang Dynasty. In 1165, Qiandao of Song Dynasty, it was granted the title of "yuanzehou". The stone built spring pool is 3.7 meters long, 3.4 meters wide and 2.5 meters deep. The huge stone at the bottom of the spring is engraved with dragon horse relief and the word "Dragon Cave" in Linshui stone. There are also holy water well, fountain, e Xiang Ding, relic tower and other cultural relics around. It is a cultural relic protection unit at the provincial level.
In fact, this is closely related to the unique geographical and weather factors. When the weather is clear, the water vapor content in the air decreases and the air pressure increases relatively. However, BAIMAQUAN area belongs to limestone area, and the gas in the underground cavern will form siphon phenomenon due to the pressure effect: when the underground water continuously flows into the cavern, the water level gradually increases, resulting in the cavern space becoming smaller and smaller, while the pressure in the air chamber gradually increases, when the air pressure reaches a certain degree When the water level of the air chamber drops, the pressure becomes smaller, and the water flows back, and when it falls back, the sound of the horse's hooves is clear.
