Sunshine College

Sunshine college, founded in 2001, is one of the first independent colleges set up in Fujian Province. It is jointly organized by Fuzhou University, the key construction University of the national "211 Project" and sunshine holdings. In 2015, approved by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China, it became one of the first private undergraduate colleges and universities in Fujian Province to be set up independently. In recent years, the college has won many honors such as "National May 4th Red Flag Youth League Committee", "Fujian May 4th Red Flag Youth League Committee", "Fujian advanced grassroots party organization", "Fujian safe campus", "Fujian Youth May 4th medal collective" and so on. In the past four years, the average initial employment rate of graduates is 95%.

After 15 years of development, sunshine college has developed into a multidisciplinary university with more than 8000 undergraduates and 31 undergraduate majors covering science, engineering, economics, management, arts, law, art and other disciplines.

The faculty college has always regarded the faculty construction as the "No.1 Project", focusing on the excellent faculty resources of Fuzhou University and other universities in Rong, striving to build a faculty with excellent quality, full-time and part-time combination, and full of vitality. At present, the college has 489 full-time teachers, 75% of whom have master's degree or above, and 43.9% of whom have deputy senior titles or above. The college attaches importance to the improvement of teachers' teaching and scientific research level. Since 2010, our institute has made breakthroughs in the National Social Science Foundation, National Natural Science Foundation (Youth Project), Ministry of Education Humanities and social science planning, provincial social science planning, provincial China special theory and other projects, and has undertaken nearly 170 projects. The college has 105 laboratories with advanced facilities and perfect equipment. Digital simulation court, business comprehensive laboratory, network engineering laboratory, basic psychology laboratory, virtual studio, recording studio, information processing and DSP technology laboratory and other laboratories have reached the advanced level in the province. With a construction area of 22000 square meters, the multi-functional library has a collection of more than 870000 books. The college also has modern teaching and living facilities such as academic lecture hall, music and Art Center, network center, swimming pool, plastic track and field field field, coffee shop, etc.

Teaching quality college teaching reform is deepening, teaching quality is steadily improving. We have cooperated with Coventry University and other foreign universities to carry out "3 + 1" and "2 + 2" double bachelor's degree and master's degree programs, and we have also cooperated with Hiroshima University and other universities in Japan to carry out course cooperation programs. We have established friendly exchanges and cooperation with many universities, such as Shixin University, Donghai University and Taiwan Jinan International University, and sent teachers and students to study in Taiwan every year.

The college actively promotes the "double hundred project" (100 famous teachers and 100 practical experts enter the campus). More than 80 well-known experts and scholars from Peking University, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Zhejiang University, Taiwan University, Norway, Japan, Singapore and other universities have visited the college to give lectures, which greatly broadens the students' academic vision.
