Chengnan College of Changsha University of technology was established in 2003 by the merger of the former highway College of Changsha Jiaotong University and the science and Technology College of Changsha Electric Power University. It is an independent college at the undergraduate level approved by the people's Government of Hunan Province and confirmed by the Ministry of education.
