Chongqing Art and Engineering Vocational College is a full-time higher vocational college approved by Chongqing Municipal People's government and registered by the Ministry of Education (code of the Ministry of Education: 14367). It undertakes the task of national unified recruitment and enrolls students all over the country. It has the qualification of independently issuing the diploma recognized by the state.

Founded by Chongqing Gangxin architectural decoration design Engineering Co., Ltd. (one of the top 100 enterprises in decoration industry in China), the school, relying on the advantages of the construction and decoration industry, focuses on building characteristic professional groups with "art design", "architectural engineering" and "film and television media" as the core. The rich engineering cases, extensive social resources and sustainable development prospects of the sponsor and its industry provide good conditions and market for the college's personnel training and students' employment.

At present, the school has two campuses, Chongqing Nan'an tea garden and Tongliang Xuefu Avenue. The total teaching space has been built and put into use is more than 85000 square meters, and the student dormitory and other logistics service space is more than 30000 square meters. A number of production practice and training centers have been built, and the production workshop of the architectural decoration material practice base in the tea garden campus is more than 10000 square meters.

The backbone technical talents in the industry account for 80% of the existing teaching team, of which 30% are well-known experts in the industry. Each major has one or several well-known experts in the industry who undertake the teaching and production practice guidance tasks by setting up studios or adopting the "double post" system.

The school teachers' design works of architecture, decoration, art design, painting, sculpture, photography, etc. have participated in international and domestic professional exhibitions all the year round, and have been well received by the industry.
