Huainan vocational and technical college is a higher vocational college approved by Anhui Provincial People's government and registered by the Ministry of education. There are two campuses, covering an area of 600 mu, with a construction area of 230000 square meters. There are more than 12000 students in the school, including 8668 higher vocational students, 200 technicians and 3630 technical school students. Every year, 8000 person times of safety training and 3000 person times of management, technology and continuing education training are provided for the group company. At present, there are 567 teaching staff, including 324 full-time teachers, 120 with professional and technical positions above deputy high school, 107 with master's degree or above, and 180 part-time teachers from enterprises.
The college has seven higher vocational departments, including mining engineering department, ventilation and safety department, coal mine electromechanical department, information and electrical engineering department; it has 37 specialties, including coal mining technology, mine ventilation and safety, mine electromechanical, mine geology, mine survey, mine construction, and applied electronic technology; it has coal mine safety training center, Ministry of continuing education, technician college, and advanced technical school.
The total value of teaching instruments and equipment is 80 million yuan, of which 40 million yuan worth of coal mine equipment is allocated from Huainan Mining Group. There are 106 on campus experimental training rooms and 65 off campus training bases. A coal mine safety training base supported by the central government has been built.
The school is one of the first batch of provincial Demonstration Higher Vocational construction units.

4、 Innovating school enterprise cooperation mechanism
The college focuses on establishing a school running mechanism of deep cooperation with coal enterprises and industries. In 2003, the "industry university research" Council was jointly established with Huainan Mining Group, with the general manager of Huainan Mining Group as the chairman, the president of the college as the vice chairman, and the main responsible persons of more than 20 factories and mines under the enterprise and the leaders in charge of the college as the directors.

The college organized professional leaders, backbone teachers and on-site technicians to jointly compile teaching materials and handouts reflecting the characteristics of Lianghuai mining area and the level of new mine production technology and equipment. At present, according to the geological conditions, gas situation and production and construction characteristics of Huainan mining area, 10 core teaching materials of coal vocational specialty, including coal mining technology, mine ventilation and safety, coal mine electromechanical, coal mine geology and mine surveying technology, have been compiled, and 6 teaching materials of "12th Five year plan" of coal technician college have been published and issued by China University of mining and technology(《 Mine ventilation, coal mine safety, coal mine safety monitoring and control technology, shearer, hydraulic support, comprehensive mining electrical equipment maintenance; self compiled more than 10 kinds of school experiment and training instructions. 6、 School enterprise joint construction training base
At present, there are 116 laboratories in the school, including 73 coal mine professional laboratories, a "coal mine safety vocational education training base" supported by the central government, and a provincial demonstration experimental training center of "coal mining technology", "mine ventilation and safety" and "mine electromechanical". The college has built the underground simulation mining face and practice workshop with the fully mechanized mining and excavation equipment allocated by the group company free of charge, which has strengthened the students' practical ability training in coal mining, tunneling, electromechanical, ventilation safety and other aspects, meeting the needs of students' practical training and post practice.

The safety training center of our institute was established in 1983 with the approval of the former Ministry of coal.
