Tianjin Youth Vocational College has a history of nearly 60 years. It is a public full-time higher vocational and technical college approved by Tianjin municipal government and put on record by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China. The college is established on the basis of Tianjin Youth League school, which is an institution to train outstanding young cadres. In the past 60 years, the college has trained tens of thousands of outstanding young cadres, many of whom have taken important leading positions. In 1993, Tianjin Youth League school and cuisine college merged to establish Tianjin Youth Vocational and technical staff college; in 1999, it was one of the first batch of Higher Vocational Colleges in Tianjin; in March 2001, approved by Tianjin municipal government and put on record by the Ministry of education, it became one of the first batch of transformed Higher Vocational Colleges in Tianjin.
