Shaanxi police vocational college is a full-time public higher vocational college approved by the people's Government of Shaanxi Province, put on record by the Ministry of education and supervised by the Department of education of Shaanxi Province. It mainly implements higher vocational education and undertakes on-the-job police training.

At present, the college has more than 350 teaching staff, including more than 210 teachers. Among the teachers, there are 17 professors, 59 associate professors, 103 dual quality teachers with legal profession (lawyer) qualification, psychological counselor qualification and accountant qualification, and 105 teachers with graduate degree or master degree.

In 2009, the college was identified as the pilot college of political and legal police recruitment and training system reform. In 2010, the college was rated as safe campus in Shaanxi Province. In 2011, the college was rated as a political and legal unit satisfied by the people and a national experimental base for youth moral cultivation.
