1、 College History

Fuzhou Yinghua vocational college, formerly known as "Yinghua College" founded by American church, has a history of 128 years. He has trained more than 20 academicians such as Hou Debang and Chen Jingrun, as well as a large number of scientists, economists and sociologists, as well as more than 40 revolutionary martyrs, including former government President Lin Sen and other political celebrities, and the first Secretary of Fuzhou municipal Party committee Fang Jinghao. Yinghua has made outstanding contributions to the development of science and social economy in China for one hundred years. It has a considerable influence in the history of Fuzhou education and has become a valuable cultural heritage of Fuzhou people.

With the donation and efforts of alumni at home and abroad, it became the first batch of diploma colleges in Fujian Province in 1994, named "Fuzhou Yinghua Foreign Languages College"; in 2001, it became the first batch of ordinary higher vocational colleges in Fujian Province, renamed "Fuzhou Yinghua Vocational College", which was included in the national unified enrollment plan.

2、 School running characteristics

A. School running purpose: adhering to the Centennial Yinghua school running concept, the purpose is to cultivate talents, not to make profits. All of the college is donated free of charge by alumni at home and abroad. All the surplus is invested in education and teaching, so as to expand the school and improve the quality without any return.

B. Personnel training: highlight the strengths of English, keep pace with the times, and set up computer, logistics, accounting and other majors to meet the urgent need of talents in the construction of the west coast.

C. Strong teaching team: more than 30% of the teachers have high professional titles, and there are also two famous teachers at the provincial level. Many foreign professors teach oral English and composition to enhance students' English ability and ensure high-level teaching.

D. Small class teaching: most of the courses are taught in small classes (about 30 people); the ratio of teachers and students is about 1:10.

E. Order form training: we have reached an agreement with Xiamen Jianfa group, which is one of the top 500 Chinese enterprises, to hold "Yuehua class" and implement "order form" training, so as to realize the one-stop training mode of students' study and employment.

3、 School running achievements:

Over the past 15 years, a large number of talents have emerged. In the national, provincial and municipal English speech contest at all levels were excellent results. Huang Jian was the only contestant in the finals of the National College English speech contest of CCTV Cup. Wang Chaojun and other students won the first, second and third prizes of English speech in the first national private college students' style competition. Chen Yi won the top prize in the 2008 provincial English speech contest for non English Majors in higher vocational colleges.

The achievements of our school have been affirmed and praised by relevant leaders, experts and all walks of life. We have been awarded the honorary titles of "top 100 schools of private education", "advanced unit of private colleges", "school with social satisfaction" and "safe campus" by the state.

The social practice team of supporting education was appraised by the Propaganda Department of the provincial Party committee, the civilization office, the education working committee, the Department of education, the Provincial Youth League Committee, and the Provincial Federation of students.

4、 Environment and equipment:

The college is surrounded by mountains and rivers, and the environment is beautiful. It provides students with quiet and elegant learning places, complete teaching facilities, books, computers and other equipment. The average student standard exceeds the national standard. 5、 Cooperative education:

In 1998, Yinghua college and centenary College of New Jersey in the United States formed a sister school relationship. Century university recognized the credits of the courses taken by Yinghua college graduates and offered a scholarship of US $5000 per year, which could shorten the study time and save costs. At the same time, we can also recommend outstanding graduates to study in University College Northampton, University College Northampton, St. Mary University and Australia. With more than 20 enterprises and institutions signed a cooperative school or training practice base.
