Yuncheng vocational and technical college is approved by the Shanxi provincial government and registered by the Ministry of Education (College Code: 14226). Hongyuan Industrial and technical school is attached as the technical secondary school (enrollment Code: 31431).

The planning of the college is magnificent. It employs famous university architects such as Tsinghua University and Tongji University to plan and design. It adopts the latest international technology, high starting point and high specifications for construction. It has modern, scientific, environment-friendly and energy-saving teaching buildings, student apartment buildings, comprehensive life service buildings, super large stadiums, etc., covering an area of 3000 mu, with an investment of 1 billion yuan and a development scale of 20000-30000 people. It can be rated as one of the top universities in the province Flow. It is a key construction project of Yuncheng City in the 11th five year plan approved by the provincial government in 2002. It is a key higher vocational education base and experimental demonstration area of higher vocational education. The management of the college is strict and the school is governed by law. Professor Yang Zongli, the former vice president of Yuncheng college, a well-known educator, serves as the Secretary; Mr. Wang Tuqiang, the management expert of China's Higher Vocational Colleges and the famous president of Beijing, serves as the president; nearly 100 management cadres come from universities all over the country, all of whom have rich experience in education and teaching management.

The college has a strong faculty, and employs experts and scholars from all over the country to form a strong teaching team. Hongyuan coal industry group will give priority to the employment of qualified graduates of mining industry; students of organic food science and Technology College will be trained by order form; qualified graduates of other majors will be arranged by the University for the whole country. In 2009, 152 graduates of our college have been successfully employed in Suzhou, Xi'an, Linfen, Yuncheng and other places.

As a higher vocational college built by Yuncheng municipal government, the college bears the heavy burden of training high skilled talents for Yuncheng City and the central and western regions.
