Shanxi University of Finance and economics is a multi-disciplinary university of Finance and economics with economics, management and law as its main subjects, economics, management, law, arts, science, engineering and teaching as its characteristics and advantages. Founded in 1951, the university is one of the earliest financial institutions in China. Now it is open to 30 provinces, cities and autonomous regions. There are more than 20000 students, including 11000 full-time undergraduates and 1400 graduate students.

The school is located in Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi Province, a famous cultural city with a history of more than 2500 years, with beautiful environment and convenient transportation. It is divided into three campuses: Wucheng, Yingze and Pingyang. The campus covers an area of nearly 1100 Mu and a building area of nearly 600000 square meters. The school has a library, computer center, network center, modern educational technology center, sports center, international academic exchange center, Shanxi merchants and ticket Museum, financial laboratory, accounting simulation laboratory, ERP laboratory, commodity science laboratory and simulation court and other modern teaching, scientific research and experimental facilities.
