Sanya Aviation Tourism Vocational College

Sanya aviation tourism vocational college is a new type of full-time higher vocational college approved by Hainan provincial government and reported to the Ministry of education for the record. Its national standard code is 13931. Founded in January 2005 by China's fourth largest aviation group, HNA Group, is located at 218 Fenghuang Road, Sanya City, Hainan Province.

Adhering to the HNA concept of "integrity, performance and innovation" and the motto of "respecting industry and enjoying the masses", the college takes "doing something for the society and doing something for others" as its purpose, closely combines the needs of the development of civil aviation and tourism, implements the combination of teaching and practice, comprehensively promotes quality education, and aims at cultivating applied, skilled and innovative talents in aviation and tourism.

The college has a planned land area of 1500 mu. The first and second phases of the project covering 500 mu have been completed. The teaching building, flight simulator training building, air crew training building, teachers' apartment building and students' apartment building have been built, with a construction area of nearly 100000 square meters. Three full motion and six degree of freedom flight simulators with a total value of more than 40 million US dollars and six million US dollars fixed flight simulators and corresponding supporting facilities are installed in the flight simulator training building, which provides a strong guarantee for the training of civil aviation pilots at home and abroad. There are many teaching buildings, libraries, student activity centers, stadiums, life service centers, teachers' dormitories and student apartments in the third phase of the project.

The college was officially established on January 21, 2005, with more than 200 faculty members and nearly 5000 students. At present, 14 majors of civil aviation and tourism are set up to recruit students nationwide.

While strengthening its own construction, the college also strives to learn from the ideas and experience of famous domestic universities. The college has reached an agreement with Salzburg University of Applied Science and technology in Austria, emwood college in the UK, Wentworth Institute of technology in the United States, Guangzhou Civil Aviation Vocational and technical college, Shanghai Tourism College and South China Normal University on cooperation in running a school, and signed an agreement on cooperation in running a school. The college will fully cooperate in the exchange of school running experience and sharing of teaching resources.
