Hunan University, located at the foot of Yuelu Mountain in Changsha City, Hunan Province, is a national key university with a long history of running a school, which has been extended from Yuelu Academy. It is directly under the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China. It is a key construction University of the national "211 Project" and "985 Project", with a graduate school and a national demonstration software college.

Founded in 1998, the school of international education of Hunan University, formerly known as Meiya College of international education of Hunan University, is one of the 30 colleges of Hunan University. It undertakes the cooperative school running projects between Hunan University and foreign universities as well as the course study projects, enrolls Chinese and foreign undergraduate and graduate students, and cultivates international advanced colleges with international vision and complementary Eastern and western advanced cultures It's a talent. At present, the college has formed stable cooperative relations with many universities in many countries, including Regina University, Concordia University, Simon Fraser University, South Bank University of London, University of Middlesex, University of Canberra, University of Western Australia, Edith Cowan University, University of Houston, Michigan Polytechnic University, Montgomery University, France University of Bordeaux, Germany, Dortmund School of international management, South Korea, Hunan University, etc. Since 2007, the college has also undertaken the function of recruiting and training international students from abroad. There are 218 international students in China, including 131 long-term students and 87 short-term students. They are from 38 countries and regions such as the United States, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Russia, South Korea and Japan. Their majors cover almost all major categories of our university, and their academic levels include doctoral, master's, undergraduate and advanced students.

The college has more than 80 teachers, including a group of well-known senior professors and doctoral supervisors, including 15 foreign teachers, of whom more than 80% have the title of associate professor or above or a doctoral degree. At present, there are 18 undergraduate and postgraduate majors, with nearly 800 students in the college. More than 600 students have studied in foreign cooperative colleges. In addition to sharing the high-quality educational resources of Hunan University, the college has a dedicated Sino foreign cooperative education building, equipped with advanced computer laboratory, voice room, multimedia classroom, multi-functional lecture hall, information room, etc. all classrooms are equipped with air conditioning, and each classroom is equipped with fingerprint attendance system network terminal. There is a Sino Canadian ESL testing center jointly established with the University of Regina in Canada. The software and hardware conditions of international education and teaching have reached the first-class level. In 2006 and 2007, the college won the title of "top ten Chinese foreign cooperative colleges in China".

The college has accumulated rich teaching and management experience in the process of running a school for many years, and has formed distinctive characteristics of running a school. There are mainly: the establishment of a special International Education Institute for standardized management, is one of the earliest Chinese foreign cooperation in running schools and large-scale universities; relying on the cultural heritage of Hunan University "Millennium University" and foreign high-quality education resources, aiming at the international and domestic market demand, optimize the specialty setting of cooperation in running schools; the project setting has a wide range of adaptation, and fully takes into account In order to realize the international integration of course teaching and teaching management, and mutual recognition of course credits, this paper introduces the national and regional, students' family economic support ability, students' learning ability and other situations, implements the Sino foreign double campus cooperation training mode, and carries out the training in Hunan University and foreign cooperative colleges by stages, so as to realize the international integration of course teaching and teaching management, and the mutual recognition of course credits; the time for students to study abroad is relatively short, which reduces the economic burden of students' families The cooperative colleges are all foreign regular universities recognized by China's Ministry of education, and their degrees are recognized by the international and domestic society with high gold content, which is the "pass" for students to obtain high salary in higher vocational colleges; the introduction of foreign ESL teaching system, the implementation of graded English teaching, individualized teaching, and the establishment of English teaching brand; the use of foreign original textbooks for professional courses, and the implementation of progressive bilingual teaching All English teaching enables students to adapt to the study after going abroad as soon as possible; we have a strong and high-level teaching team to build an experienced professional management team of Sino foreign cooperation in running schools; we have established a number of incentive mechanisms, set up high scholarships to stimulate students' learning enthusiasm and potential; we have implemented teaching management in line with cooperative colleges to ensure teaching quality; In recent years, the visa rate has been maintained at about 95%. The student management system, such as "management of teachers' dormitory", "English tutor system", "head teacher system" and "counselor system" has been implemented, forming a multi-directional, multi-level and three-dimensional management mode of "dormitory + class + grade".
