Henan Judicial Police Vocational College

Henan Judicial Police Vocational College is a full-time ordinary police college which focuses on higher judicial police education, develops various vocational education and cultivates applied talents. In 1984, in order to meet the needs of the continuous development of judicial administration, Henan Provincial People's Government approved the establishment of Henan reform through labor police school, which was later renamed as Henan Judicial Police School. In 2001, our school was approved to be upgraded to Henan Judicial Police Vocational College.

The college covers an area of 818 mu. The new campus of Zhengdong New Area under construction covers an area of more than 500 mu, with a total investment of 280 million yuan and a planned construction area of 163000 square meters. After completion, a modern, ecological, information-based and garden style new campus will stand in Longzihu University Park, providing a broad development space for our college.

The college has five departments and two departments, including criminal execution department, law department, police science department, information technology application department, judicial administration department, basic department and police sports department. There are 14 majors in criminal execution, judicial police, investigation, economic crime investigation, security, legal secretary, computer technology and application, judicial assistant, community correction, e-commerce, etc. There are three-year higher vocational education, five-year higher vocational education, correspondence undergraduate education, adult college, on-the-job police training and other levels of education. The source of students is all over Henan, Shandong, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Guangdong, Guangxi, Zhejiang, Xinjiang, Gansu and other 10 provinces.

Our hospital has computer, language, criminal photography, trace examination, scene investigation, forensic medicine, psychological counseling and testing, simulated court and other laboratories. There are 18 off campus practice bases, including the first prison in Henan Province, women's prison in Henan Province and Qiliyan Labor Education Institute. The library has a collection of more than 486000 books, and the electronic reading room has 184 electronic reading machines with complete functions. All the classrooms are equipped with closed-circuit television and audio-visual teaching conditions; 15 multi-media classrooms can meet the needs of multi-media teaching and modern distance education; there are 734 microcomputers in the computer laboratory for students to operate; the campus network covers all departments of the college, and computer management is implemented in teaching, academic management, finance, administration, books, archives and other work; various kinds of training, such as cars, guns and so on The equipment configuration meets the professional requirements of police physical training. After years of continuous construction, the college has initially formed a series of practical teaching bases, which provides good material conditions for the cultivation of high-quality applied talents.

In 2005, the criminal execution specialty of our college was approved by Henan Provincial Department of education as the pilot specialty of teaching reform in higher vocational colleges, and the branch of Henan Prison Society and the judicial identification center of Henan Judicial Police College were established. The fully equipped and advanced police technology experimental center undertakes the teaching tasks of criminal photography, trace inspection, on-site investigation, psychological consultation and measurement, forensic experiment, microcomputer operation, program design and other practical courses related to various professional disciplines.

At present, there are 315 full-time and part-time teachers, 47 with senior titles, including 39 professors and associate professors. In recent years, our teachers have edited and participated in the compilation of 42 textbooks and works, published 5 monographs, and published 388 academic papers in journals above the CN level. Our research achievements have won 102 achievement awards above the prefecture level.

Since its inception in 2003, Journal of Henan Judicial Police Vocational College has set the goal of creating "famous column of prison science" and "characteristic column of judicial administration", which provides a theoretical and practical platform for teaching and scientific research of our college.

In the teaching organization and student management, we implement strict policing management, and our strong "police education" features are among the best in the province and even in the country. The policing management of police academies must strictly abide by the provisions of the people's police law and the people's police internal affairs regulations (for Trial Implementation), so as to revolutionize the students' thinking, combat their work style, institutionalize their life and standardize their internal affairs. When freshmen enter school, they will arrange 40 days of police quality closed training, and always adhere to the policy of "strictly governing the police and the school". In addition to learning basic courses and professional courses, they also need to master professional skills such as car driving, shooting, catching and fighting, which are centered on the police occupation.

In 2004, our college held the first art festival for college students, and a large number of excellent programs emerged. In the 9th college students' science, technology, culture and Art Festival of Henan Province, 13 entries of our college students won prizes, two of which won the highest prize. In 2005, in the third national campus singer competition, Shen Jian won the bronze medal for his outstanding strength. In the seventh Cuba College Basketball League of Henan Province, the newly established basketball team of our college, facing the strong players like Lin, fought hard and won the second place in this league.

Since its establishment, the college has trained more than 17000 full-time ordinary college and secondary school students and all kinds of correspondence graduates, and trained more than 12000 serving police officers in the judicial administration system. Among the graduates, one was recognized as a martyr and remembered for his first-class merit, three were named as advanced individuals by the political and Law Commission of Henan provincial Party committee, Zhengzhou municipal Party committee and Zhengzhou municipal government, 10 were awarded second-class merit, more than 200 were awarded third-class merit, and more than 3400 people were praised. 40% of all previous graduates have taken leadership positions at all levels, and most of them have become the business backbone of their units.

The college has been awarded provincial civilized school, provincial civilized unit, garden type construction unit, etc. in 1996, it was recognized as provincial key technical secondary school by Henan Provincial Education Commission, in 1999, it was awarded as campus network construction demonstration unit by the Ministry of education, in 2000, it was recognized as national key technical secondary school by the Ministry of education, in 2000, it was named as advanced unit of Ideological and political work by Henan Provincial CPC Committee, and was approved by Henan Provincial Department of justice It is determined to be the quality education base for civil servants in the administrative system of Henan Province, the advanced Party committee of the judicial administrative system of Henan Province, and the leading group of the five virtues of the prison system of Henan Province. The school has been awarded the collective second-class merit and the collective first-class merit successively, and has been rated as the "provincial civilized model school".
