Chongqing Institute of mechanical and electrical technology (Ministry of Education Code: 12607) was founded in 1971, formerly known as Chongqing ordnance industry staff University. It is composed of eight vocational colleges, including Chang'an, Jiangling, Jialing, Jianshe, Changjiang, Wangjiang, Xiche and Luhua.
