Primula
(commonly used Chinese herbal medicine in Tibet)

[source] it is the flower of Primula striata.
Primula striata
Perennial herbs, 30-50 cm high. Rhizome thick and short, with many fibrous roots. Leaves simple, basal; oblanceolate or narrowly oblong oblanceolate, apex obtuse or acute, base gradually narrowed, margin finely serrate, upper green, lower light green. Umbel terminal, with more than 10 flowers; stem erect, upper with purple green; petiole length varies; flowers blue purple, funnel-shaped.
Born in the ditch and wet place. Distribution of southwest and Tibet, Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang.
Primula lutea has the same function as the previous one.
[collection] harvest from June to August.
Bitter, cold.
Functions and indications: clearing heat and drying dampness, purging liver and gallbladder fire, hemostasis. Treatment of children with high fever, gout, acute gastroenteritis, dysentery.
[usage and dosage] oral administration: decoction, 1-2 yuan. External use: grind and sprinkle.
