[source] it is the root bark of Platycladus orientalis, a Cupressaceae plant. For the plant morphology, please refer to "Platycladus orientalis leaves".

[usage and dosage] for external use: put it into the fat of pig or dog, fry it, remove the residue, and coat it on the outside.
[selection] 1. Treatment of hot oil burn: Baipi (Cortex Phellodendri) was applied on the wound with the fat of wax pig. (behind the elbow)
② Treatment of burns: white skin of Platycladus orientalis root, six liang of dog oil, decoct and remove residue, and apply externally. (commonly used Chinese herbal medicine formula)
