[plant morphology] changjiezhu

Evergreen climbing shrubs. The stem is yellowish brown with white milk and elastic after drying. Leaves opposite, thin 3-whorled, ovoid, apex acuminate, base cuneate, above bright green, smooth glabrous. The flower is small, it is a wide panicle; the calyx is small, 5-lobed, with glands inside; the Corolla is nearly bell shaped, the throat is wide and bare, and the lobes are obliquely obovate. Stamens inserted at the base of corolla, anthers arrowhead shaped, glued around stigma, anther base spurred. Follicles long and slender, nearly moniliform, with tufts at the top of seeds.
