[plant morphology] Sedum repens
Herbaceous perennial, 33-57 cm high. The root is strip-shaped, straight, about 32 cm long, with stem base at the root head. Several stems tufted, cylindrical, green, covered with short hairs, nodes inflated. The basal leaves are linear, about 3.4 cm long and 3.3 mm wide, with petioles; the stem leaves are opposite, 6-8 cm long and 2.4-4 mm wide, clasping, entire, covered with short hairs on both sides, with more leaf margin hairs. Flowers solitary, inserted in the axils of the upper leaves, petiole 6-24 mm long; 1 pair of bracts in the middle; calyx with 10 veins; 5 petals, linear, with red halo or near white, apex 2-lobed; stamen 10; pistil style 3. Fruit bottle shaped, 6-toothed. The seeds are numerous and small.
Born in the mountains and grass.
Jiutoucao, also known as laotoushen and zhujiefangfeng, is of the same genus. Its main morphological differences are: the stem is purple, and the flower is light red, which is darker than this product. Its root effect is the same as this product.
