[plant morphology] Celastrus angustifolia
Creeping herbs, base woody, 2-3 m high, glabrous or slightly hairy. Leaves opposite, petiolate; leaves submembranous, ovate, elliptic, oblong to lanceolate, apex short pointed or acuminate, base rounded or cuneate, both sides bare or nearly bare; stipules triangular, 2-5 mm long, deciduous. Panicles axillary and terminal, expanded, branched into scorpion like cymes; flowers white purple, sessile; calyx narrowly campanulate, ca. 3 mm long; corolla campanulate, tube 7-10 mm long, upper end 5-lobed, tweezers arranged, inner surface reddish purple, powdery pilose; stamens 5, filaments very short, inserted in corolla tube; ovary inferior, 2-locular, style filiform, 2, base healed. The berry is globose, 5-7 mm in diameter, bright when ripe and yellow. It blooms in autumn.
It grows on stream side, river side, roadside, forest side and shrubbery, and often climbs on other plants or rocks. Distributed in Shandong, Anhui, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Fujian, Taiwan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hubei, Hunan and other places.

Take fresh cornvine to make injection, each milliliter is equivalent to 5 grams of crude drug. Intramuscular injection, 2-5 ml each time, 4 hours later can be repeated or continuous medication. Suitable for gastrointestinal pain, biliary and renal colic, all kinds of trauma, fracture, postoperative pain, neuralgia, etc. In 537 cases, pain disappeared in 328 cases, relieved in 197 cases, and ineffective in 12 cases. The effective rate was 97.7%. If the injection is added to 10% glucose solution for pain point or acupoint injection, lumbocrural pain can be treated. In practice, it was observed that the stronger the smell of drugs, the better the analgesic effect. Some patients can smell the smell of jiyateng from exhalation and urine after medication, which may be due to the fact that the effective component of jiyateng is a volatile substance, which is excreted by respiratory tract and urine. The injection has slight local irritation and pain, which can be alleviated by adding appropriate amount of procaine solution; a few patients have dizziness when the dosage is too large, and there are no other side effects. In addition, it can also be chopped and soaked in rice wine for 7 days, 5-10 ml each time, 3 times a day for gastrointestinal spasmodic pain.
② Treatment of neurodermatitis and other skin diseases

In case of high fever, 60 ml of Jishiteng and 200 ml of 10% glucose solution can be used for intravenous drip. 37 cases of middle and advanced leprosy were treated, 25 cases were markedly effective (the symptoms and signs disappeared completely on the fifth day), 7 cases were improved (the symptoms were significantly relieved and the body temperature returned to normal), and 5 cases were ineffective. This drug has anti-inflammatory and diuretic effect, has good curative effect on joint reaction and lymphatic reaction of leprosy, and has poor curative effect on erythema nodosum reaction and neuralgia.
