Herbs perennial, glabrous. The root is clustered, the flesh is slender, spindle shaped, the cortex is crisp, easy to peel off after drying, and the cross section is yellow. Stem up to 100 cm, slender. The leaflets are ovate or rhombic ovate, elliptic or wedge-shaped obovate, 0.8-2 cm long. It is 0.6-1.6 cm wide, 3-lobed, with indistinct veins. The apical leaflets are larger, the lateral leaves are smaller, light green on the top, gray white on the bottom, smooth and glabrous, the panicle is axillary, the branches are slender and sparse, and the last branch has 3 flowers; the pedicel is filiform; the sepals are 4, white, elliptic, forming a narrow obovate; there are no petals; the stamens are numerous, the anther tip is blunt, and the filaments are slightly filiform; the carpels are 2-4 3 (~ 5), style short, stigma narrowly winged. Achene obliquely narrowly ovate, slightly flat, 3-3.5 cm long, with 8 longitudinal ribs.
It grows in the bush of wet mountain area. It is distributed in Yunnan, Sichuan and other places.
