Herbs perennial, all smooth. The roots are yellow or yellowish brown, slightly divergent, with few fibrous roots. Stem base more branched, slender, not obvious square, with four longitudinal edges. Leaf blade linear or linear lanceolate, 1-4 cm long, 1-3 mm wide, apex pointed or slightly obtuse, margin slightly retrorse, both sides green. Cymose panicle, pedicel slender, 1.5-4.5 cm long; sepals 4, linear lanceolate; petals 4, ovate or ovate lanceolate, sky blue or lavender, inner base with 2 glands, long hairs around glands; stamens 4.
