Vegetation, 20-40 cm high. Leaves opposite, leaf blade ovate or oblong to ovate lanceolate, ca. 4 cm long and 1.8 cm wide, apex acuminate, base cuneate, margin entire; stipules connate, inserted between petioles, ovate, margin villous. Inflorescence terminal; pedicel ca. 5 mm; flowers white, ca. 3.5 mm; sepals 4-lobed, lobes triangular lanceolate; corolla connate, 4-lobed, endophytic pilose; stamens 4, inserted on corolla; ovary inferior, 2-locular, stigma 2-lobed. Capsule, many seeds.
Born on hillside grassland.
