[plant morphology] Zhennan villosum, also known as monkey high-speed rail and fragrant bakelite.
Evergreen trees, up to 18 meters high, 40 cm in diameter; branches, buds, leaves and inflorescences are densely rusty villous. Leaves alternate, leathery, oblong, ovate, oblong or obovate, 7.5-13 cm long, 2.2-4.5 cm wide, base cuneate, with pinnate veins; petiole 1-1.2 cm long. Panicle at the top of branchlets, nearly without pedicel; yellow green flowers; perianth segments 6, persistent, retroflexed, with rust colored villi, inner perianth segments ovate, outer perianth segments small and narrow; fertile stamen 9, the third round stamen filament base with villi, glandular heart-shaped, inserted above the filament base; ovary light red. Fruit globose, about 4 mm in diameter, purplish red.
Distributed in Guangdong, Guangxi, Jiangxi, Fujian and other places.
