Perennial herbs. The basal leaves are 3-6; the leaf blade outline is renal pentagonal, 2.5-6.5 cm long, 4.5-9.5 cm wide, 3-lobed; the petiole is 5-22 cm long. Scapes 1-3, 7-65 cm high; cymes 1-3-branched, 10-30 cm long; involucral bracts 3 (～ 4), sheath petiole, broadly rhombic, 3.2-6.5 cm long, 3-lobed; sepals 6-8 (～ 10), white, narrowly obovate or narrowly elliptic, 9-14 (～ 17) mm long, with bristles at the top; without petals; stamens numerous, filamentous; carpels 30-60. Achene narrowly ovate, 7-8 mm long, glabrous, persistent style hooked curved.

It grows in gully, barren slope, roadside and sparse forest. Distributed in Tibet, Yunnan, Sichuan, Guizhou, Gansu and other places.
