Climbing shrubs. Young branches cylindrical. Leaflets ovate lanceolate, 1.5-5 cm long, 0.5-1 cm wide, apex acuminate, base broadly cuneate, entire, with 3 veins. The cyme apex is axillary, with many flowers arranged in panicles; the flowers are light red and fragrant; the pedicel is 2-2.5 cm long; the bracts are 1-lanceolate; the calyx is tubular, and the sepals are 5-linear; the Corolla is white or light red, high footed and discoid, and the tube is 2-3 cm long; the petals are 5-oval. The berries are usually geminate, solitary, dark purple, with persistent calyx at the base. It blooms in summer.
It grows in the hillside shrub and the edge of valley, or near the village. It is distributed in Yunnan, Guizhou and other places.
