[source] it is the whole plant of Daphne odorifera.
[plant morphology] Daphne odorifera
shrub. Branches glabrous. Leaves alternate; leathery; lanceolate, 7-10 cm long, 2-2.5 cm wide, apex acuminate, base cuneate, entire, glabrous; petiole ca. 2 mm long. Inflorescence lateral or axillary; pedicel 1-2.2 cm long, pubescent; involucre 1-whorled, bracts 2-4, apex 2-lobed, closed before flowering, shed after opening; flower white, perianth tubular, 1-1.3 cm long, outside filamentous villous, apex 4-lobed, lobes ovate lanceolate; stamens 8, 2-whorled, filaments very short; disk subulate; ovary tip yellow villous, stigma capitate . The fruit is berrylike, naked.
It grows in hills and sparse forests. It is distributed in Yunnan.

[function indications] it can relieve pain, disperse blood stasis, connect tendons and bones, relax tendons and activate collaterals, and dispel wind and dampness. Treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcer, fracture, tendon injury, fall injury, rheumatism, bone pain, all kinds of pain.
[usage and dosage] oral administration: decoct soup, 0.5-1 yuan; or soak in wine. External use: remove or tamp at the end of research.
