[source] Senecio pinnatifida is a plant of Compositae with roots.

[plant morphology] Senecio pinnatifida, also known as Senecio Argonne.

Perennial herbs, 60-120 cm high. Most of the roots are filiform and curved. Stem erect, solitary or clustered, longitudinally striated, glabrous or slightly white hairy at apex, branched at upper part. The leaves are dark green on the top and pale on the bottom; the basal leaves are petiolate, ovate elliptic, with blunt or sharp serrations on the edge, falling off after anthesis; the middle leaves are sessile, elliptic, 8-10 cm long and 4-6 cm wide, pinnately lobed, with notched or toothed lobes on the edge, apex pointed; the upper leaves are elliptic lanceolate to linear, with irregular or undivided edges. The inflorescence is numerous, arranged into corymbose, the involucre is hemispherical, there are many linear bracts at the base; the bracts are long elliptic, the edge is membranous; the ligulate corolla is yellow, 7-10 mm long; the tubular flower is about 6 mm long, and the lobes are about 1 mm long. Achenes elliptic, smooth.

Born in hillside, grassland, forest edge, like Yin wetland. It is distributed in Northeast and South China.
