Perennial herbs. Rhizome thick, thick, the lower part of the roll, like a scorpion. Stem erect, unbranched, slender, 10-32 cm high. The root leaves and the lower leaves of the stem have long petioles; the leaves are oblong, ovate or lanceolate, 3-6 cm long and 0.8-2.8 cm wide, the apex is short pointed or acuminate, the base is round or cuneate, sometimes microcordate, the edge is slightly revolute, leathery, glabrous on both sides, rare white and soft hairs; the upper leaves of the stem are sessile, lanceolate, smaller; the stipule sheath is long cylindrical, membranous, brown, and the apex is oblique. Inflorescence terminal, 3-7.5cm long, flowers dense; bract membranous, light brown, broadly ovate, acute, with 1 bulbil or 1-2 flowers; bulbil broadly ovate, brown, usually in the lower part of inflorescence; perianth 5-lobed, lobes broadly elliptic or nearly obovate, white or pink; stamens 8-9, anthers dark purple; style 3.
