[plant morphology] millet grass
Annual herb, 10-20 cm high. Stem erect, few branched, scattered white micro curly hair, mixed with a few glandular hairs. Leaves opposite, obovate to oblong rhombic, apex obtuse, base cuneate, with 2-4 obtuse or pointed teeth on each side, densely covered with short glandular hairs. Inflorescence terminal, flowers dense, bracts leafy; corolla 2-lipped, yellowish white, upper lip 2-lobed, lower lip 3-lobed, apex slightly concave. Capsule oblong, nearly as long as persistent calyx.
It grows on hillsides and fields.
[collection] harvest from July to August.
Bitter and cool.
[function indications] heat clearing, antipyretic, diuretic. It can cure fever, thirst, headache and urination.
[usage and dosage] oral administration: decoction, 1-3 yuan.
