[plant morphology] Litsea officinalis
Erect perennial herbs. Stem square, purplish red, densely pubescent, upper part with opposite branches. Leaves opposite; elliptic, 3-5 cm long, 1.5-2 cm wide, apex pointed, base cuneate, margin serrate, both sides densely pubescent, with many golden glandular dots below; stipitate. The flowers are small, arranged in compact spikes; the bracts are linear, longer than the flowers; the calyx is bell shaped, 5-toothed; the Corolla is light purple, slightly 2-lipped, with sparse and micro lobes, and the calyx and bracts are white woolly; the stamens are 4, extending out of the corolla tube. Nutlets 4, erect, smooth.
Often on sunny slopes; or cultivated in gardens. It is distributed in Yunnan, Guizhou and other places.
