[plant morphology] - Ampelopsis grossedentata
Deciduous woody vines. Branchlets smooth or occasionally hairy. Tendrils opposite leaves, bifurcate. The leaves are alternate, broad ovate, 7-12 cm in length and width, 3-5 palmately lobed, heart-shaped at the base, broad concave, with coarse teeth at the edge, smooth on the top, bright green on the bottom, pink on the bottom, smooth or hairy on the veins, and long petiole. Cyme is opposite to leaf, total pedicel is thin, longer than petiole. Flowers pale yellow; sepals united into cups; petals 5; stamens 5. Berry globose, 6-8 mm in diameter, light yellow or light blue; 1-2 seeds. The fruiting period is August.
On hillsides or valleys. Distribution of northeast and Shaanxi, Shandong, Henan, Inner Mongolia and other places.
[collection] root digging in autumn; root bark stripping, drying or fresh use.
It is pungent and hot.
Functions and indications: promoting blood circulation, dispersing blood stasis, anti-inflammatory and detoxifying, promoting muscle and bone growth, eliminating wind and dampness. For traumatic injury, fracture, sore, swelling and pain, rheumatoid arthritis.
[usage and dosage] oral administration: decoct soup, 3-5 yuan; or grind powder. External use: tamping.
[prescription selection] ① treatment of traumatic injury and blood stasis: at the end of xiaojiegudan research, five to one cent, take warm wine.
② Treatment of sores and boils: appropriate amount of fresh small Jiegudan, tamping on the affected area.
